Retin A Is A Powerful Acne Treatment Medication

Retin A was developed more than 25 years ago as an acne treatment. Retin A is made from vitamin A, a fat-soluble vitamin that is absorbed through the intestines and stored in the liver. Retin A increases blood vessel development and cell nutrition, decreases clogged pores and makes cells divide faster. Retin A is an important part of the treatment of annoying skin color disorders in breast cancer patients.

Retin

Retin A Micro has been approved for the treatment of acne vulgaris. Retin A works best if applied in a thin layer across the entire face and should be applied 20 to 30 minutes after thoroughly washing your face. The yellow appearance of retin A micro gel is the result of the active ingredient, tretinoin, which is a yellow crystalline powder. Retin A is not recommended for pregnant women or nursing mothers, because its effects on the fetus and nursing infant are still being studied. It is important to remember that retin A micro is a treatment that takes patience and dedication. Second, and more importantly, retin A micro helps prevent future outbreaks by keeping skin cells from sticking together, thereby preventing the formation of new plugs. The most common side effect with retin A micro is skin irritation. Some of these side effects may go away or bother you less after you have used retin A micro for a few weeks.

Skin

During the first few weeks of therapy, retin A micro pushes the dead cells and plugs that are responsible for acne to the skin's surface. Some patients also notice their skin begins to take on a reddish blush. You may not get any reactions at all, which just means your skin is tolerating treatment. During weeks three through six, blackheads are being dislodged and shed from the skin. After six weeks, you should notice steady improvement in your skin. By seven weeks, your skin may look better than it has in a long time.

Retin A irritates the skin and makes the skin cells grow and die rapidly in turn increasing the turnover of cells. Retin A cream can easily increase the sensitivity to sunlight, cold or wind therefore while using it, patient need to take protective measures by wearing proper clothes and sunscreen. Retin A is available in cream or gel form, by prescription only and is also known as Retin A Micro, Avita, Renova, and generic tretinoin. Retin A was initially developed to treat bad cases of acne, however, it has since been discovered to be useful againstskin aging and even hair loss.
